Bikram, lyengar, Vinyasa, Hatha or Ashtang: you want to start a yoga program, but you’re intimidated by all of the names (and there are even more!), specialized terminology and first-class jitters. Don’t freeze up. Breathe. While yoga principles are similar, the way it is practiced can vary. Read up on the different types of yoga and choose the one that best fits your fitness level and objectives. Local classes can provide a great, gentle introduction. And remember: breathe.
